Faust

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign / MFA Exhibition Catalog

Faust was asked to design an exhibition catalog for the Art+Design department's MFA candidates with restricted donor funds earmarked for such a purpose. The school also wanted to get extra mileage from the piece since, surprisingly, no marketing collateral for their MFA program existed. Faust conceived a way to integrate marketing content in the context that it was the "soil" from which the MFA candidates' work product was cultivated. The cover art was inspired by the question: Can credible artists come out of a school positioned in so unapologetically in the Midwest? Faust provided concept, design, art direction, production and print management.
