Coupling the verb “share” with the feeling of temptation creates an internal dialogue between our inner angels and devils. “Should I take it, or leave it?” But regardless of the choice the visitor makes, the message of sharing will continue its travel, either verbally through stories or physically through our commercial pipeline. In this full moon project 200 one-dollar bills were stenciled with the word share and stapled to 7 trees throughout Chcago’s public parks and parkways in single stripes from ground level to about 20-feet overhead. We documented the installation and then went back the next morning to see what had happened over night.

About Full Moon Projects: Just as a full moon inspires awe, provides peace and ignites actions over the course of a single evening, full moon projects are typographic installations at the intersection of art and design intended to do much the same. They install quickly under the light of every full moon, do their job and slowly get consumed, deteriorate and ultimately disappear. They provide a surprise among the mundane walk of life and define an ownable moment of personal reflection. Their simple, graphic and clear presentations are intended to be absorbed visually, processed personally and ultimately shared verbally. Without a doubt, the messages will change based on cultures like race, gender and age, but also over time and through personal experiences. All that said, if we can get people talking and sharing whatever it is that is important, personal and/or silenced, the projects have done their job.
