Rebuild Foundation / The-Art-of-Placemaking Website

Founded by artist, and urban planner Theaster Gates, Rebuild Foundation is a creative engine focusing on cultural and economic redevelopment in under-resourced communities. This year they hosted a forum called the Art of Placemaking and Faust was retained to design the identity inspired by the place it all happened in and around ... Chicago's South Side. We used photographic "mash-ups" of multiple sites to establish a visual theme for the website and applied a stencil inspired type treatment consistently on top of each image for name/title retention. These techniques and styles were also applied to the forum attendee's other touchpoints such as name badges, programs and signage.
