AAFPRS / The Face Book

Faust was retained by the AAFPRS, the world’s largest specialty association that represents more than 2,700 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons throughout the world, to redesign this book which is used as a service to its membership and their patients. The AAFPRS wanted a publication that projected a wellness-oriented attitude within which the credibility of appearance aligned more with the credibility of content. Faust accomplished this by replacing the previous pastel illustration-dominated version, which projected a one-dimensional aesthetic ideal, with a more photographically driven version that expressed diversity of ideal. In addition to also making improvements to the overall level of production, we brought more cohesion between the original photography and the supplied before-and-after photography which came from many sources. Faust provided concept, design, art direction, production and print management.
