Time, Inc. / Sustainability Report 2007-2008

When Faust designed Time's inaugural sustainability report in 2005, the concept was focused on the lifecycle of a magazine. With that success as a foundation, we moved forward together on their second. Faust collaborated with Time Inc. on telling the story of how each of its online and offline publishing outlets report on issues relating to sustainability, all while also reporting on measured improvements to its impact as a business. We did so by successfully utilizing a graphic vocabulary carried over from the previous report and paired that with evidence of informative reporting on sustainability issues from Time Magazine to Real Simple. The design and content of Time's sustainability reports is refreshing—straightforward and focused—and this unadulterated approach to reporting has been successful for them as it has bucked a trend in over-complicated reporting rhetoric. Faust provided concept, design, production and print management.
