The Pool, Lane 1 Research Book

In 2009, media giant VivaKi Inc. did something unprecedented: They announced they would be publishing industry-aligning research findings aimed at establishing standards for various emerging media segments. In their first release (Lane 1 in a series entitled The Pool), they tackled online video. Faust was retained to design the book featuring the results of the findings arrived at by a consortium of advertisers and media companies. Faust created a 190-page book that featured a proprietary system of competitive swimming visual references within the typography, charts and tables. The cover features a pocket for insertion of a customized USB flash drive.
