1995 Catalog of Programs

The Old Town School of Folk Music teaches and celebrates music and cultural expressions rooted in the traditions of diverse American and global communities. It's a pretty cool place filled with pretty cool people. Faust has collaborated with the School to design their catalogs since 1995 and, since then, we have been responsible for numerous visual updates. These updates are a constant (but necessary and welcome) challenge as they repeatedly force us to refine and refresh what has seemingly been perfected. Because of the abundance of content, organization, hierarchy, and photography are always kept in careful balance. We experiment with photographic storytelling, typographic scale changes, and flexible underlying grids that will be pliable in anticipation of any last-minute additions or reductions to content. Faust provides concept, design, art direction, production, and print management.

We are Bob, Sally, Ben and Dave. We're located in beautiful Riverside, Illinois. We love tacos, smoothies, swimming, pedaling, paddling, paddling, and Stella. Most importantly (and probably why you're here), we're graphic designers. We design stuff for people. We're very good. Everybody says so.
