Arts Alliance Illinois Identity, 20xx

Various mediums

Arts Alliance Illinois operates as a critical part of Illinois’ creative industries, and as such, requires an identity that tows the line between strength and imagination. By steering clear of typographic trends in exchange for flexibility, the new AAI identity can represent all of the the services and advocacy efforts of the institution itself. Helvetica Neue was customized for legibility and flow and “Illinois” was abbreviated and used as an exponent. This allows the logo to be as impactful as possible in its smallest form while illustrating how the Alliance is powered by the state itself. The toolkit additionally provides endless color combinations as well as a set of circular motifs that activate and illustrate communications on an ad hoc basis.
