Chicago Youth Centers (CYC) is Chicago’s largest, independent, locally based, multi-site youth services organization. Faust was approached by CYC to assist them in creating a history book that would tell their story in a comprehensive manner, increase their visibility and ultimately provide a tool to build their support base in order to develop more resources to reach more youth at risk. The success of the book was due the combination of compelling copywriting and visuals, and a lucid design and pacing structure that allowed the supporting imagery to capture its audience. This 250-page book was made possible by a generous Sappi Ideas That Matter grant and the pro bono design services of Faust. Faust provided concept planning, design development, art direction, production and print management.
